Team Description: The San Dimas team seeks to come into relationship with gang members and at-risk youth in our neighborhood and behind bars at Juvenile Hall. We take to heart God’s call to love the prisoner, the immigrant, and the alien. We invite youth into Christian community and offer them the opportunity to find true identity and freedom in Christ.
Weekly, we serve youth behind bars with other local Christian volunteers from many different denominations. Together we provide a worship service, an evening bible study, and one-on-one visitation twice a week. In the community we help lead several bible studies specifically placed in different parts of the city to reach youth from the two largest gangs in our neighborhood. Additionally, we invite youth into our home for meals and activities.

Christ said “come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28). To youth who often feel passed over, forgotten or overtly disdained by the world it is our desire relationally and spiritually to be a safe haven. We seek to be present in their lives and to live out the good news and love of Jesus Christ in the Mission District of San Francisco.
Internship Description: We invite you to come and submerge with our team and volunteer community. Learn about local history and culture. Meet the youth we serve and walk with them for a season. Come with an open heart to what God is doing in your heart, our hearts, and the heart of our city. Come walk with us as we learn to prayer walk our neighborhood together and listen for Christ’s heart for our city. Come and learn the rhythms of InnerCHANGE, experience action/reflection, keep a journal, explore the value of prayerfully reading scripture, experience a prayer retreat and meet weekly with a mentor.
